Jimmy Vali’s vision has taken the company his father founded in 1959 to an entirely new level in both talent and scope. Filling a gap in the market in the fifties, the elder Mr. Vali specialized in ethnic music, providing live entertainment at social events and eventually recording over 20 albums with United Artists. Over the past 12 years, his son Jimmy continues to be a testament to the fact that musical talent truly runs in this family and he has transformed the company into the entertainment choice for discriminating clients ranging from actress Glenn Close to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Today, Vali Entertainment is one of the nation’s leading full-service entertainment and production companies.

Music was always a vital element in the Vali household and it remains the heart and soul of the business today. Jimmy Vali himself is a trained musician and seasoned performer, occasionally making surprise event appearances on drums. He skillfully handpicks Vali Entertainment’s musicians—whether it’s a jazz pianist or gospel singer—carefully scrutinizing the needs of each ensemble at every audition. Vali Entertainment’s reputation is unmatched and boasts the finest caliber of musical talent in all of its bands and celebrity acts.  

While the company plays about 350 events every year, Vali has trouble pointing to a single engagement when asked about his greatest accomplishments.

Vali was born in New York City. He grew up in Massachusetts and holds a BA in Business from American International College. Before taking over the family business, Vali started his own record label and trained privately as a drummer. He lives with his wife and two sons in Bergen County, New Jersey.
